The Realm of Gods won the American Fiction Award

Just last weekend, it was announced that the Realm of Gods won the American Fiction Award for Epic/High Fantasy, making the claim that the Chronicles of Chaos is an award-winning series as true as possible.

While the Realm of Gods is up for a few more prizes later in the year, I never know what is going to happen–especially with books that come mid or end series. It’s hard to convince a judge to appreciate a book when they haven’t necessarily read the others. And while my books are each complete stories, they rely a lot on the world and character building in the previous volumes.

That said, this award is a great moment and I’m quite proud of it. I consider RoG to be my best book yet. And yes, I think that about all of my most recent books, but maybe it’s always true. I do think it’s easier to go in depth in both the world and characters when so much groundwork has been laid.

Keep your fingers crossed for the other competitions RoG is in, plus one that the entire SERIES is competing in!
